Terms of service
These terms are an agreement between you and Alanview Group LLC ("we", "us"), the maker of Lysflo. They cover the Lysflo apps for iPhone and Android, the Lysflo service behind them, and this website. By creating an account or using Lysflo, you agree to them and to our privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Lysflo.
1. Who can use Lysflo
You need to be at least 13 years old. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent's or guardian's permission. Give accurate details when you sign up, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has got into your account. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
2. Households
Lysflo is built around households: a group of people sharing one list.
- The person who creates a household is its owner. The owner makes join codes, chooses each new member's role, and can remove members.
- Anything you add to a household (items, amounts, stores, aisles, products) can be seen and changed by everyone in it, within what their role allows.
- If you leave a household or are removed from it, you lose access to its list. What you added stays with the household.
- If you delete your account, items you added to a household you share with others stay there with your name removed. A household where you were the only member is deleted.
Only invite people you trust with your household's list.
3. Your content
What you put into Lysflo is yours. You give us permission to store it, copy it between your devices and the devices of the people in your household, and show it to them, only to run Lysflo for you. This permission ends when the content is deleted, apart from short-term backups that expire on their own.
You're responsible for what you add. Don't add anything that's illegal, or that you don't have the right to share with your household.
4. Things you must not do
- Use Lysflo for anything illegal, or to harass or harm anyone.
- Try to get into accounts, households or data that aren't yours.
- Interfere with the service, overload it, or get around its security or limits.
- Copy, scrape or harvest data from Lysflo by automated means.
- Reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it regardless of this term.
- Resell or rent out access to Lysflo.
5. Price
Lysflo is free to use today. If we ever add paid features, we'll say clearly what they cost before charging, and we'll never charge you for something you haven't agreed to buy.
6. Changes and availability
We're always working on Lysflo, so features may change, be added, or be removed. We try to keep it running and your data safe, but we can't promise that it will always be available, free of errors, or that changes made offline will always sync. If we decide to shut Lysflo down, we'll give you reasonable notice first.
7. Ending your use
You can stop using Lysflo at any time and delete your account from inside the app, as described on our account deletion page.
We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if your use puts other people or the service at risk, or if the law requires it. Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you first and explain why.
8. Other companies' services
Continue with Google is provided by Google under its own terms. The App Store and Google Play are run by Apple and Google, and their terms apply to how you get the app from them.
9. If you got Lysflo from Apple's App Store
- These terms are between you and Alanview Group LLC, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for Lysflo and its content.
- Your licence to use the app is limited to Apple-branded devices you own or control, as allowed by the Usage Rules in Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Lysflo.
- If Lysflo fails to meet any warranty that applies, you can tell Apple, and Apple will refund the price you paid for it, if any. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for Lysflo.
- Apple isn't responsible for any claims by you or anyone else about Lysflo, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and consumer protection, privacy or similar claims.
- If anyone claims that Lysflo or your use of it infringes their intellectual property, we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating and dealing with that claim.
- You confirm that you're not in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you're not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms, and once you accept them, Apple can enforce them against you.
10. Disclaimer
Lysflo is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Lysflo is a shopping list. Don't rely on it for allergy, medical or safety information, and check labels in the store.
11. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Alanview Group LLC won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of Lysflo. Our total liability for any claim about Lysflo is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Lysflo in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50.
Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived by contract.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute about them will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Michigan, and you and we agree to those courts' jurisdiction. If you're a consumer living somewhere whose law gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts, you keep that right.
13. Changes to these terms
When these terms change, the date at the top changes too. If a change is significant, we'll say so in the app or on this site before it takes effect. If you keep using Lysflo after that, you accept the new terms. If you don't, you can delete your account.
14. General
These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Lysflo. If a court finds part of them unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term straight away, we haven't given up the right to enforce it later. You can't transfer these terms to someone else. We can transfer them as part of a sale or reorganisation of our business.
